2012 revisited

Okay, so, the year is coming to an end and I thought I should write some thoughts down about this year and tell you a little bit of the plans we have for 2013.

This year we had lots of things happening. Recorded and released What I've Seen, had a bunch of shows and got to play outside Finland for the first time. This year truly had some positive surprises - for example, the show we got to play with the Adolescents or the incredible response we had at our shows during our first European tour - and I'm really grateful for all of them. For me, personally, this year has been pretty much the worst year I have ever had in my life and words can't describe the importance this band and all the things related to it has for me. Thanks for keeping me alive. Especially you, Aki, Santeri and Temsu. Love you guys.

Next year our drummer Aki will start his military service, so I guess we're gonna be pretty quiet for a while when that happens, but during the first six months of 2013 we're gonna play some shows and possibly record some new songs too. We were supposed to do a weekend tour with Pigeon Hunt and Iron Boris in the middle of January, but Pigeon Hunt had to cancel, so we're only gonna do the show we have with Iron Boris in Helsinki on Thursday the 17th. During March/April we're gonna do a bunch of shows with Lighthouse Project. Right now we have shows booked to Finland, Denmark and Germany but there's still plenty of open dates left. If you want us to play somewhere near you, email me.

I hope you all had a fun Christmas and wish you all the best for 2013. See you next year!

Last show of the year

This will be the last show of the year. Black Flag... I'm already sweating.

Get your tickets from Tiketti or from Jelmu. Or buy them from the door. Let's tear some shit up.

Newsflash, November 2012

We got some news for you. Yeah we do.

Last weekend I got myself some copies of this live cassette our friend Jouni put out through his label Johnny Park Avenue Records. It's got two of our shows from this year: Ilokivi, Jyväskylä from this spring and Suisto, Hämeenlinna from this fall. The latter one had a bit dramatic ending, so to speak.. You can get a hint of what happened from the cassette's cover.

You can get the cassette from the label, or straight from us. Buy it with the 10-inch and get them at the price of 15 euros, including postages.

We're playing our last show of the year next month and it'll be a special one. If you can make it, get in, get crazy. Let's make it a show to remember.

See you there.

Pretty stoked on this one. We are going to tour Europe next spring with the great LIGHTHOUSE PROJECT. These guys were the ones who were playing on the first hardcore shows we went to and the ones whose lyrics I've written on my school notebook covers countless of times.

I'm doing the booking myself and would really appreciate some help with this one. If you can help us out in any way, send me an email to I'm interested in all dates from late April to early June. We will play pretty much anywhere and the only thing we need is enough money to pay for gas. Of course things like food and a place to sleep would be nice as well.

Hopefully we'll see you on the road next year!

July 2012

What's up? So we've been doing lots of things recently, haven't had the time to update this page for a while. The tour with Antiklimax went great. Thanks to everyone who came to see us, gave us a place to sleep, hung out with us, bought our records and shirts and to the venues and their people. We had a blast. I'll write some more about the trip later.

Last weekend we played at Hässäkkä-päivät -festival in Oulu. We put up a few videos from the show on our YouTube -channel. If you weren't there, go check them out. Next month we'll play at Helsinki as the warm-up for the Adolescents. Damn... If you're around, see you there! Until then, go pick up your copy of What I've Seen and be sure to check this site every now and then for updates. I'll try to keep you on the map with our stuff.

By the way, I'm starting to arrange some shows for us for the upcoming winter / next spring. If you want us to come to your town, were it anywhere in the world, please: write me and let me know where to go, who to ask, etc. We will be there, if possible.

Until next time,

Okay, so, we got a lot going on this summer. Thought I should write something down here.

In less than two weeks we are hitting the road with Antiklimax. The tour has shows in Sweden, Denmark and Germany. If you're around, come check us out! What I've Seen should be out from the pressing a few days before the trip. If you live in Finland, you'll be able to pre-order it by sending an e-mail to 15 euros, in advance, including postages. The pre-orders will come with a small zine, that opens up the stories behind the songs, their writing process and what these past 20 months were like for us. The records + the zines will be given and mailed to you when they get here in Jyväskylä. You'll get more info about the zine and the pre-orders next week.

The previously sold out Taxi Driver t-shirts will be available again in a couple of weeks as well. 30 shirts, with sizes from Small to Extra Large. 10 euros, as before.

After we come back from the tour, we'll have some shows here in Finland as well. We will play at Jyväskylä on June the 29th (more info about that later), Hässäkkä-päivät at Oulu on July the 6th and on August the 7th we will share the stage with a band that I grew up skateboarding to: The Adolescents. So stoked!!

We have some other things planned as well, but we'll keep those things to ourselves for now. All I can say is this summer will be a very good one for us.

Back from the studio

What I've Seen is now recorded. The songs turned out great and the sessions were almost too easy to be true. We will most likely put a new song up when the record goes in pressing.

We will play these songs next Friday at Semifinal. If you're interested, be there. We will play with Wasted (unplugged show!) and Lighthouse Project (who will only play cover songs on this show).

If you're on Facebook, here's the event for the show: Lighthouse club vol. II 30.3.2012
More info about the show times, ticket prize, etc.

Some info about the upcoming record

3 weeks from now and we're hitting the studio to record our next record called What I've Seen. It will come out as a 10-inch and it will be released by Ruori Records, United Shoebrothers, Parta Records and Face Your Gods. We will put some sample songs and the cover art up soon, so stay tuned!

We have some shows during the spring where we'll play the new songs. Check out the shows -section for more details.

Hässäkkä-päivät -festival

We're playing at this year's Hässäkkä-päivät -festival. So stoked! Other confirmed artists are Terrible Feelings (SWE), Jumalan Ruoska, Juggling Jugulars, Neuroottiset Pelimannit, Famine Year, Unkind, Vapaa Maa, Sokea Piste, Rift, Noituus, Death Toll 80k, Perikato, Schwerbelastungskörper, Seksihullut,

Starting 2012

Let's get this year ON. Some news flash for you: Lighthouse Project - the band that every punk-kid in Finland knows - is releasing their fourth album this spring and to celebrate its release they are going to host three clubs in Semifinal, Helsinki. On the first club they will play their early stuff, covers on the second and new songs on the third (which will be the new album's release show as well). Pretty cool, eh?

The second club will also have Wasted with an acoustic set and us as a warm-up act. We will try to make something up too to keep you entertained. It will be a special night.

See the full details on all of the Lighthouse Clubs and their acts from the Lighthouse Project's website.

We have some other shows coming up this spring as well, but more on them later.

Our next release - the one we've been writing  for some time now - is almost ready to go under the record-button. It became too long for a mere 7" EP, so I guess it'll come out as a 10" once we get together enough money for it. If you're interested to help us out, e-mail us! The demo version of the record's title track can be listened here.

PS: Check out Pigeon Hunt. A very interesting new band from Finland, that keeps its rehearsal spot here in Jyväskylä. They are playing their first show tonight at Vastavirta, Tampere.
